Jessica Roiz is a bilingual multimedia journalist whose love for music and writing paved her career path. An FIU graduate, she's worked in digital media since 2006 with previous bylines in The Miami Herald, Latin Times, and MiTú, to name a few. She's also the founder of Pulso POP, a Spanglish Latinx blog. In 2014, she was named best new journalist by the Nicaraguan community in Miami. In 2017 she was recognized as one of BeVisible's "Top Latinx Founders in Online Media You Need To Know," and in 2018 she was a two-time nominee at Hispanicize's Tecla Awards. Besides her passion for journalism, Roiz is a loyal Selena Quintanilla fan, a nostalgic '90s kid and a proud Nicaraguan!
